Summary : On the 15 April 1912, two hours after a hit with an iceberg, the passenger vessel "TITANIC" sank in the north Atlantic causing the death of X passengers and crew members. Only X survived and were rescued by the passenger vessel CARPATHIA. This casualty was at the origin of the SOLAS conventions, especially regarding the lifeboats.
